I went to Sydney!

Hello Everyone!

It's me again, the laziest blogger on the earth. I was looking over all my old blog posts with total disappointment in myself as I realised it's been over 6 months since I've made a blog post. I have no real excuse so I think the best thing for me to do is just act as if I never left.

On January 24th I went to Sydney for Big Day Out on the 26th. Although I was only there for 4 days and I only had my iPhone to take photos what better way to start my way back into blogging than something I've never done before?

Obviously my trip started with the obligatory "I had no room on the plane" photo.
I'd like to point out that I'm only 5'1 so this looks more roomy than it would be for most people

To be totally honest with you the only photo I took the first day was this photo of a cupcake store I visited every day I was there as it was the most Australian food stall I had ever seen
I lied… I took a few photos that night when I was "less than myself"

The next day I bought sunglasses which I fell in love with. I don't think there is a photo of me after that that I'm not wearing them, and they were only $10!

If you didn't know the 26th of January is Australia Day and basically it is tradition to wear a lot of Australian flags, be 110% Australian and get outrageously drunk. Obviously this didn't happen as I went to Big Day Out!

The one band I just had to see I saw alone, skyping Haley for most of it. The 1975, who you should all look up because they are beyond amazing!

I saw so many amazing performances, some I didn't even know I would enjoy as much as I did

Snoop Dogg, or Snoop Lion… I'm still not sure.

I was surprised at how much Snoop made me want to drop it like it's hot but I had an amazing day! One thing that was strange to  me was that we had to buy drink coupons. I may have only been 18 for a few months but I thought most bars accept cash?

After a patriotic and relatively sober Australia Day I only took 2 selfies… Both involving food.

My last day in Sydney was actually quite sad, I didn't want to leave so soon but real life waited back in Brisbane so I went and got all my tourist out.

The last thing I did in Sydney was lay in the park near my hotel with my luggage and wait until I had to fly back to reality.

A few hours later I was back in Brisbane and already planning my next trip… I don't know where this year will take me but Sydney is just a small step compared to what I have planned! Wish me luck and tell me where in the world I should go!
